The Miami Crape Myrtle provides the best of both worlds with its spectacular, exfoliating bark and its beautiful, magenta flowers. This myrtle grows like a pink Natchez and reaches a mature height of about 20 feet. During the summer, you can marvel at its dark pink blooms for its approximately 100 days of flowering. Then, when fall arrives, you can marvel some more as its foliage turns autumn orange. Additionally, the Miami Crape Myrtle is very hardy and exhibits a high mildew resistance. It is hardy in Zones 7-9.
